we ate strawberry shortcake in the sun

It was only 4PM and I had had it for the day.  I decided that instead of being short tempered, tired and only thinking of my bed, I'd prepare a little treat for us both to enjoy.  It definitely cheered me up and I know he loved it too.  Homemade whipped cream does a mama good.

he climbed up to smell the "roses" while he waited for me to join him

then we dipped our cake, strawberries and fingers into the whipped cream

we were in heaven sitting together in the warm sun
