one large cucumber

We got this cucumber in my family's garden in New Hampshire.  They don't like the big cucumbers and since I don't have any problem with them, they sent us home with a few among many other veggies.  Odin has been trying to play with these since we've been home but he just throws them on the ground.  This time, however, I helped him hold one and he cuddled it like he cuddles his blanket and then he threw it down.  It was pretty funny and very cute!

He is actually standing right by his new "room".  Yes, its in the kitchen.  Let me explain:  I have been going crazy in our 1 bedroom apartment.  The older this boy gets the more frustrated I get by our small and getting smaller living space.  I had had it and in an instant I was moving things around in our kitchen to make room for Odin's crib.  He now has his own little space at the end of the kitchen.  I am working on putting a curtain up on the ceiling and some things on the walls so its less kitchen, more cute room.  It is just the perfect little spot.  And the best part?  We have our room back!  My favorite thing about that is that I can read in bed before I go to sleep, not by the light of my cell phone, but by the light of a big light!  It is the best solution.  I just wish I had come up with sooner.  More pictures to come.

//  I am in love with our new apartment (situation).  The best thing lately.  Now I have 2 new rooms to decorate!

  1. Oh, how I remember having a one bedroom apartment with a toddler. It was pretty miserable. It was amazing how things were fine until the baby started to crawl, then for some reason, it was no good anymore. When we finally got that two bedroom apartment in building 3, my whole attitude about NYC improved DRAMATICALLY. My mother-in-law told me that whenever she started to have dreams about bigger homes, it was time to move. I was having them all the time in that little apartment.
