We journeyed out into the city to celebrate with our fellow Scotsmen. (We both have Scottish ancestors so we were pretty proud.) The bagpipes were blaring, the colors flying, and those kilts... were. amazing. It was awesome!
After the parade there was a mob gathered just jamming with their drums and bagpipes. It was a proud moment for any one who respects the Scottish.

* I had recently seen the Scottish film Stone of Destiny
on Netflix. It was pretty good and fitting for this upcoming Tartan week. And if I didn't already want to visit Scotland, this would seal the deal.
