cruise travel book
I brought along a travel book and all my supplies to record and collect the fun adventures of my first cruise. I was inspired by this accordion style book and while I like how mine turned out, I should have saved it for a shorter trip. Its sort of hard to figure out but, oh well. Lesson learned.

Iceland Travel Book / part 1
I have hundreds of pictures I'm still sorting through and that is why I haven't posted this book yet. I am learning that this wasn't the best binding option for such a large book. I'm really thinking that this whole 2 week vacation travel book was a bad idea. Next long vacation I'll have to revise this idea. In the end, this idea was less than fantastic. I think I'll be glad I finished it when its over.
// Do any of you have a project that you just have to finish even though you wish you hadn't started it? Am I the only anal one out there that does this? Please, do share.

Iceland Travel Book : an update
As posted before, I made a little journal for while we were on the road in Iceland. Now that the trip is over, it turns out I have a ton of stuff to add to it. This is where I am so far. And, I haven't even added the pictures yet! This is going to be a hefty travel log.
As mentioned before, the bones of the book (different printed, plain colored and white paper/cardstock, and a few envelopes) were added before the trip. I also brought along a date stamp
, some adhesive
, a mini stapler
, and small notebook. The notebook I used to write a little note whenever I had a moment, thought or story I didn't want to forget (and so I didn't have to have my book out every moment). Most of the rest of the journaling will be done at the end but at lease I don't have to look back and see where we were and when.
* I'm especially excited to share all about the white paper you see on the very top. It is my most favorite part of this journal besides the little on the spot moments I recorded.
* See the bare bones of the book HERE.
// My goal is to get the pictures ordered and the book ready to accommodate them by the end of this week. Its a much bigger project than I expected but that is because I am putting more time into it than I planned. Its going to be so worth it. Later we'll be able to remember those 2 weeks so well! I can't wait for the finished product...

California - Travel Book
This took some time but I'm so happy with how it turned out. This is my first travel book that I actually took and did the majority of it on the road. All I did after the trip was put the photo story together and made some collages then insert the corresponding photos into the rest of the already made pages. And finally, the book!

Iceland - Travel Book
As I usually do, I made a travel journal book, this time, for our trip to Iceland. I tried using some more fun paper rather than rely on what things I acquired there solely. I am pleased with the outcome and very excited to fill it.
* I got Elise's pdf workshop on making mini books and it was a good reference and guide to feeling more comfortable with my "mini" books, in particular this travel book. Its was totally worth the $.
* Also, thanks to her, I'll be attempting to put it together on the road. Rather than collecting all the pieces and then trying to recapture the essence at home. I already know it will be a much better outcome.
// I can't wait to fill it up...
