fruit for a party

I was really hopeful when I offered to bring a bunch of cut up fruit for a little party with some friends.  The last time I did this I went in to labor with Odin and my fruit never made it to the event.  This meant that I ended up with a fridge full of cut up fruit waiting for when I would be recovering, nursing and appreciating the quick and tasty nutrition.  I thought it would be the perfect scenario this time around too.

No such luck this time.  The party has been enjoyed, the fruit devoured and the baby still baking away in my belly.  It was worth a hopeful shot, at least.  :-)

Summer 2011 Book : July - Aug

This is the last post about my summer mini book before I put it away.  After waiting a long time for the pictures to be printed, this book is finally complete.  It is so big, too big.  I think I'll do it differently this Fall.  I'll share that bit later.  You can check out part 1 of my summer 2011 mini book here.

 

//  I loved doing this mini book.  I bought it from Elise.  And she has a fantastic Fall one too.  I am making my own Fall mini book that I'll be sharing later.  These books are such fun projects.  You don't need anything but paper and string to make them.  You just collect and document as you go and they can be as simple as that.  Its so fun looking back on the events of my life in this way. 

Summer 2011 Book : May - July

I knew this was going to be a busy summer so, I wanted to document it.  Elise does it best, so I bought the book all ready to go from her Etsy shop.  I've had no problem filling it.   I know she's planning on selling a Fall 2011 book and I can't wait to purchase that one too.

California - Travel Book

 

This took some time but I'm so happy with how it turned out.   This is my first travel book that I actually took and did the majority of it on the road.  All I did after the trip was put the photo story together and made some collages then insert the corresponding photos  into the rest of the already made pages.  And finally, the book!

I love to document memories.

As someone who truly enjoys a vast variety of things I have noticed a trend of passion in a certain area.  That area is memory keeping.  Its my favorite thing.  Having said that, don't be surprised if you see related posts in the future.
